EuroMillions is the lottery game with the highest jackpot, played in nine European countries: the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Switzerland. Draws take place every Tuesday and Friday evening in Paris.
EuroMillions began on 13th February 2004, initially with draws held only on Fridays. The first Tuesday draw took place on 10th May 2011. While the range of main numbers has remained unchanged since the game's launch, the Lucky Star range has expanded twice. Until 6th May 2011, the Lucky Star range was 1 to 9. It increased to 11 on 10th May 2011 and then to 12 on 27th September 2016.
To win the jackpot, all five main numbers and the two Lucky Stars must match the numbers drawn. To win a prize, you need to match at least two main numbers. EuroMillions offers 13 prize categories, which are listed below.
EuroMillions draws are held every Tuesday and Friday evening at around 9:00 pm (Central European Time).
Ticket Cost: £2.50 per play.
The table below shows the estimated prize amounts and corresponding odds of winning. Actual prizes may vary depending on currency exchange rates, ticket sales, and how many tickets match the winning numbers.
The jackpot starts at €17 million and increases each draw if no one wins. It continues to roll over until it reaches the €250 million cap. Once the jackpot reaches this cap, it must be won within the next five draws. If no one wins the jackpot after five draws, the prize is shared among winners in the highest prize category for that draw. After the jackpot is won or shared, the amount resets to €17 million.
